The Dwelling Place International
Building A City of Refuge...
Our Vision
The vision of The Dwelling Place International is to bring restoration and wholeness to every walk of life here in Las Vegas, NV and the world, one life at a time.
It does not matter about a person’s sex, creed, race, color, national origin, religion or disability; we as humans are all equal to God.
God loves every person. Every person is priceless in the eyes of God no matter who he or she is, or where he or she is at in life. We want to be a Dwelling Place for all people to come and be restored into their destiny and have a life that is meaningful.
We are a non-profit ministry that has relocated in Las Vegas a block from Las Vegas Boulevard, just north of “The Naked City.” Our mission is to reach out to all people in need, people with addictions, people who are homeless and poor, abused and lonely.
The Dwelling Place International is going to build a City of Refuge to not only shelter people from the storms of life, but to bring hope and life back into hearts and lives of all people.
We have already put in a Food Pantry/Supply Room and a Clothing Room to give to those in need food, personal hygiene items and clothing. We have put in a handicap shower for people to be able to get cleaned up. We are starting with providing daily necessities such as food, clothing, and personal hygiene products.
Through various means of outreaches, we plan on changing lives forever – not just meeting their needs for a day.
It is our goal within the next 7 years to be built up, literally, and be able to provide several services with what is required to set people up on the road to success and wholeness. It is our goal to be able to offer the following services:
† Floors for a resting home for the elderly who cannot afford the cost of a nursing home
† Floors for a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for those who need it
† Floors for a homeless rehabilitation center to give them a fresh start
† Floors for unwed mothers and their children to come for shelter and protection
† Floors for the person who wants to get out of prostitution to come and be embraced
We desire to bring housing that is affordable and employment opportunities as each family and individual transitions out of The City of Refuge. We will offer continuing support for all who need it.
We are going to build a City of Refuge for people, a safe place. We want to reach out to people who need a second chance in life, from families and children, single parents, single men and women, handicapped and the elderly, or whatever walk of life, and bring them back to the life that God has purposed for them. With the exception of the resting home, this is a transitional program for all, which will provide housing and shelter that is needed to get families and people back on their feet.
With the help of trained volunteers, our staff and ministry will eventually operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to be available to our community.
We will continue with our Wednesday evening and Sunday morning services to feed hungry hearts and souls, through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word.
We will offer classes on fundamentals of marriage, raising children, social relations, etiquette, hygiene and anything else there is a need for to produce productive and successful families and members of society.
We have a children’s ministry, reaching out to the needs of children. We will continue to teach and encourage education, family values and fun activities such as sports, the arts and music.
The Dwelling Place International is a place where God’s love dwells and His Presence abides to bring life and restoration to all people.
This has been our vision for many years now and it is time to start placing everything into its place. We have written it out plainly so that others will read it and run with us. The vision is huge. We believe that it was set for this appointed time and hope that you will support it. Though it tarries, wait. It has tarried, but no longer…
“One of the deep treasures of life is that all that is really worth the doing is what we do for others…”
